Educational Opportunities

FOR OUR VETERINARY PARTNERS AND THEIR STAFF:

LUNCH YOUR WAY

Our “made to order” Lunch Your Way educational visits to area practices provide practices with an opportunity to share lunch with the specialist of their choice  to discuss favorite  topics or to seek expert advice on specific challenging cases.  In addition to the speaker, we will provide lunch for your staff members who attend. There is no fee for these lunch meetings. There is no minimum or maximum enrollment size. Groups as small as 2-3 are eligible to participate, so please do not hesitate to take advantage of this exciting new program!

If your practice has received a Lunch Your Way Registration Form in the mail, just complete it and fax it to us at: (860) 704-0344. Once your form has been received, our Lunch Your Way Coordinator will contact you to schedule your first program. VETERINARY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center has partnered with Middlesex Community College in developing a Veterinary Assistant Certificate Program. The program is designed to introduce individuals to veterinary practice and to teach them the skills and knowledge to gain an entry level job in a veterinary hospital.  The program consists of classroom hours at the college and hands on clinics in the Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center and at area farms.  Plans for a fully credited Associates Degree program in Veterinary Technology are underway at Middlesex Community College and hope to be completed soon.  Currently students interested in veterinary technology can complete prerequisite requirements at Middlesex Community College before transferring to Northwestern Connecticut Community College to complete the degree program.
